Born in 1968 in Brittany (France), Dominique le Maguer found her calling when she was around 10 after discovering Matisse’s Poissons Rouges. She started learning the colours in the garden of her childhood. After living in Germany in an artistic environment, she returned to France and settled in Paris where she got married and went back to school… at the Louvre. Her artistic calling took a break for a while, as she became mother and traded brushes for baby bottles. In 1999 she organised her first exhibition in Paris and received encouragements and friendly comments. This helped her to go back to her brushes, to overcome her doubts and to find the necessary energy to resume and intensify her creative work. Ever since, several exhibitions have taken place in Paris and have met with success. The year 2006 will be remembered by a one month exposure in China where the reception was particularly enthusiastic.
